"The past three Gold Update newsletters highlighted the following bullish technical factors that evolved in the gold bullion market:

the unusual irregular corrections within wave 2, which had bullish connotations;
this was accentuated by these formations being skewed upwards, indicating a very strong underlying demand for gold in the physical market;
the continuous churning (including three declines in the 7%-8% range, all within the same corrective wave) that was building increasing momentum, like a hammer thrower spinning, was likely to generate a big move upwards;
the anticipated move was to be wave 3, generally the strongest wave in the sequence.

These factors gave rise to the forecast of an "upside catapult of at least $100 without a significant correction", which expectation has now been achieved. The starting point of wave 3 was a PM fixing of $642.1 on 27 June 2007. Last Friday, 28 September 2007, the PM fixing was $743.0, a gain, thus far, of $100.90. The only correction since wave 3 commenced was the 3.9% decline depicted in the above chart as wave ii, finishing at $657.5.

This sharp “catapult” type rise confirms the previous analysis of the very unusual, irregular, upwardly skewed corrections. It was the only pattern that fitted with the 7%-8% magnitude of the correct wave 2."

I was wondering for a while why is HMY share price keep dropping until I find this new :

I bought this stock at around $3. It is about $4. I believe it is still a good buy.

6 months chart :

3 months chart show it is only slightly above the 50days and 200 days moving average. It is very safe to buy stocks below 200 days average. But, if gold is to take its up turn, a little bit above 200 moving average is not a big risk. Might be it is good to wait for a little pull back to get in again. (talk to myself).

There is not a whole lot of data on Everton, so I cannot really know what moving average it is on now.

Investing in gold is very fun. Every year, you have at least 1 or 2 times of turn around. There is always a low season to buy and a high season to sell (season when the Indians and the Arabs have wedding season :):):)).

I think by now, u probably knew that I am very eccentric :). While driving my son to see the doc, I was having so much fun with him on the car. I was playing a Christian songs on the CD player. I switched to the highest volume then the lowest volume, he cracked up so much, he said mommy is crazy :)-. I think I am a both right and left brain kind of person, I am creative but also very analytical :):). I love arts but also love science. I am a geek and also a crown :)-

I cannot stand too serious stuff :), especially when I read some bloggers who seems to tell her/his reader what to do/how to do , blogging is not for everyone :), blar blar blar, it cracks me up :). In Nigeria, the U.S. Embassy cautioned that American and other Western installations face the risk of terrorist attack, although the embassy said no specific threat prompted the warning. Nigeria is a major supplier of oil to the U.S.

Gold's rise this week also has a technical component. Once gold prices crossed the $680 an ounce threshold Friday, that opened up a 'huge breakout' of technical buying from computer-driven funds that buy or sell when an asset hits a certain level, said Scott Meyers, senior trading analyst with the Pioneer Futures division of MF Global. I do not know about you but I believe in diversification. Do not put all eggs in a basket. I can tell you why I said that. While growing up, my father had a fish business, he started selling fish on the market, after he earned a fair bit of profits on the business, he bought a few fishing boat and hire fishermen to fish for him. Then he built an ice factory for his fishing business. He also owned a shrimp paste factory where the shrimp paste was exported to Japan for shrimp crackers for retail business. Then he started going into the Real Estate business in his forties. For about 10 years, he was doing very well in his Real Estate business, he then sold off all his fish business and concentrate in his Real Estate business.

During the Asian financial crisis in mid 90's, my dad lost practically everything he had.

Then there's my husband late maternal grandfather, he was a retired English professor, he wrote a few books , he was also a opera conductor and he loves to invest in stock. He has string of diversify incomes. His salary as a professor, book authors, opera conductor and stock investment.

We are still enjoying his fruits of diversification.

The moral of the story is you need to diversify. And one of the ways is invest in stock.

My gold and silver investment have both been going up a fair bit the last few days because of the Northward moves of gold.

In fact, I have no clue of the recent gold price increase. But, let us check on some of the news to find out why ?

The gist of it (source from Bloomberg.com) :" Gold generally moves in the opposite direction of the dollar. The U.S. currency fell to a record against the euro yesterday on speculation that interest rates will rise faster in Europe after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke scaled back forecasts for U.S. economic growth."

I am quite please to finally get 1 or 2 readers who are interested in gold investment.
Jenny asked me to write something like gold investment 101, a layman term so people who has not invest in gold would understand. Bee asked me where she can buy e-gold. And BE think it is hard to buy French gold.

After reading a lot of wise men and women's writings, I finally come to a conclusion that as we move deeper into hyperinflation, gold will become more attractive as a hedging tool towards super hyperinflation. An English guy on his blog wrote something like our salary cannot match with increase of house price. I made a comment on his blog that nothing beat gold price the last 5 years and I believe gold price of US$1000/oz is just round the corner. If you use increase % on major cities houses say in America, it still could not match the increase in price of gold and certain gold stocks. How many of you have a return of 400% increase in any of your investment ? Gold and gold stocks did !! Never mind, this is not the first time people called me crazy or eccentric. But, when gold goes up US$1000/oz, please don't say I have not warn you !

This is my 1st newsletter I have written a couple of years ago and that might be the 1st step to educate you why I invest in gold. I have checked most of the links, they are still intact. I do not believe there is any short cut in any kind of investment you want to do. It takes me years (at least 3) to finally have a hand on gold/silver investment. I spend many hours reading why, how and what on gold/silver investment. So, please do not think it is an easy work and that you will become a millionaire in an instant. Might be when gold is in mania stage, you might become instant millionaire over night but right now, gold is still in its infant stage and you need to read a whole lot before you can invest right !!! The best time to invest in anything is when not people know about it, by the times when the shoe shiner boys tell you to invest in gold, you should sell on the first selling price when market opens !!

As I have promised a few friends to write what I know about gold investing. This is the first such newsletter I have put together.

I was exposed to gold investment in 2001 by a missionary friend, Mr Gil Prost. Over the last few years, I have read a number of good articles and authors and they have been great benefit to me.

I am a big picture person and whenever I start an endeavor, I always like to have an bird-eye view of the endeavor. In the case of gold investment, I wanted to know why is gold investment appropriate during this period. I found Mr Jay Taylor articles particularly helpful in understanding the historical perspective in relation to gold investment. In addition, he also have many articles on global and America economy.

After I got the big picture, I want to get into the bolts and nuts of gold stocks investment. And one of the bolts and nuts about stock investment is understand what the expects called technical analysis. I found this web site has a lot of useful technical analysis on specific stocks and timing to buy/sell. Besides gold stocks, I also invest in silver stocks. The person's essay whom I would highly recommend silver beginners investors to read is non other than (Jason Hommel). He offers free newsletter in his business web.

Besides reading these people articles and essays. I found a lot of useful information from this gold forum : (http://www.gold-eagle.com/cgi-bin/gn/get/forum.html) . Though not all the forum contributors show the same level of profession ism but a few whom I would highly recommended are namely : Half-Monty, Goldrunner (GR), TQ, Grininbarrett and North. Half-Monty gave perfect exit call in 2003. After that call, gold stocks went through a correction period of about 2 years. In 2005, Goldrunner(GR) gave excellent entry call which helped many forum readers made a lot of money. TQ often gives chart analysis on the forum and his works are excellent. The amount of knowledge in this forum is incredible. When I started reading the forum, there were not many gold companies that advertised on the web site . However, over the last few years, I noticed that the web site has hardly any free space for gold companies advertisement. The traffic hit on the web has reached millions per day.

In a simple term, gold companies can be classified into 3 basic categories. Big and established companies that are already producing gold and the production cost is very low. These are what we called tier-1. One of such company is GG. GG has been paying 11 straight months of dividend in 2005, which is a very unusual for gold companies. And the second category is med-tier, such as GSS. Then there are the junior minors or exploration companies. They believe they have gold but yet to be explored. A lot of times, the tier-1 companies will buy out the junior if they believe the juniors do have gold in ground. The old guys (tier-1) do not want to get their hand dirty and of course they would have to pay a premium. A lot of times if you buy the juniors that are take-over targets by tier-1, you find yourself gold mines !

Like any investment sectors, gold also has its own gold-index, they are HUI and XAU. The companies that made up of the gold-index stock can be found in this web site : (http://kitco.com/) . - . You can click on the HUI link and it will tell you all the companies that make up of gold-index. The web site that I use often to check gold/silver prices is : (http://kitco.com/) . There are also gold-funds that you can buy. I have not investigate or study any gold funds and would not be able to give you any head-ups here.

There are free charting tools that you can use to help you understand stocks charting, one particular that I like to use is : http://www.stockcharts.com/

There are a number of on-line trading companies that you can use to buy/sell gold stocks. Over the last few years, I have used Ameritrade on line trading company.

I personally found that there's always once or twice in a year for the last few years (2002-2005) when you can make some profits by buying and selling gold/silver stocks. The last note I would like to add is I have not subscribed to any gold/silver stocks investment letters except goldletter -( http://www.goldletterdv.com/) . The reason I subscribed goldletter was its attractive price. It was $99 when I subscribed and it was for a life time subscription; a price that I could not resist :)-. As gold is entering into its bull season, there are many gold writers and it is a challenge for new comers to differentiate snake-oil sellers and the seasoned writers.

I was supposed to shoot the bads guys like the lawyer, the prostitutes, and so on, preferably hitting them in the face, may be a little in the chest, may be a big hole in their back :).

My total score was 2050 and I was welcomed to the team. But, I hated it when the mad-man assaulted the down town with a rocket launcher !

What is the best therapeutic answer you should give her ? Answers : a. buy a firearm, b. install an alarm system, c. scream, d. ask her to ask someone to call her every day, e. sleep only in the day. I could not help laughing at my exam. I knew some of my classmates probably thought I was nut. And the same kind of reactions when I read oversea posties wrote about American's products / services that they have no clue about.

So I like to suggest to Payperpost advertisement team to give more writing quota to American bloggers than oversea bloggers. I do believe we know America's products and services than people who live outside of this country. Why Chinese people migrate ? for good fortune, good future for their children. But, how many Chinese people really assimilate into their migrated land ? They still prefer to live in cina dominated area , how many Chinese migrant go 'tang ping' in the country they called their home ?, hardly any !. Would oversea Cina move back (migrate) to China if China become the world 1st supper power. I asked my guru and that is what he has to say : " Sterling mines will be producing silver in December. Yesterday I bought some more NTO and has since moved up 5% percent. They come out with an earning report on the 10th. Most of the juniors I have bought are doing very well, NTO has moved up only 12%, most have done better. Gold, I believe is being temporally suppressed. This means if gold and gold shares drop lower I am a buyer. I think SRLM looks good....nowhere near its high."

The last 3 weeks have been the best weeks ever since I invested in gold / silver stocks.
One of my stocks SSRI went from a $4.50 in 2002 to nearly $40 today (788%), after 5yrs of investment. Who would imagine a mere $4.5k would turn into $40k in 5yrs ?
If you have invested 45k in 2002, you would have $400k today, is it better than your house investment ? I guess so.

Gold up $10.50 today !

I won't be surprised at the peak of gold bull, most of my junior stocks would be in their 40's or 50's.

But gold has gone up the last 3 wks, is correction near the corner ? I don't know, my guru does not think so, he think he wanted to hold out till Nov this year.

I have an investment guru in gold and silver; he is in his 70's. He is a very interesting man; he spend most of his golden years doing bible translation for one of the tribal group in Bolivia, serving God faithfully in the wilderness of Amazon jungles. After he returned to the states, he did not go lepak and sit back, he continue to serve the Lord. I knew my guru in 2001, he taught me many wonderful things of gold/silver investing.

This is our latest email extract. Whenever I read article on gold in gold forum which I cannot understand, I would write to my guru for his enlightenment ! :). He does not take it well that I call him guru :):).

"The way I see it is as follows:
We presently are in a deflationary mode like the 1930's in which debt, because it cannot be repaid, people sell assets to get cash to pay off debts which increase the value of the dollar. Rule: the world debt, which is massive, must be liquidated. How? either by a (a) deflationary collapse in which individuals liquidate assets to pay off of debt (sell property, stocks, bonds, etc) and bankruptcies become the norm, or, (2) the government decides to reverse economic laws and chooses to flood the world with paper money to keep the economies going so that people can pay off their debts in cheap currency. While governments wishes to pay off debt with cheap money, they are also fighting deflationary pressures which strengthens the dollar because everyone is buying dollars to pay off debt. Either way, you want to be in gold. On the deflationary side there will be a sell off in all assets, including mining shares, to raise cash, but eventually, like the 1930, gold-silver mining shares will take off because the government is forced to get back to a gold standard. If the stock market begins to collapse, then that is a sure sign that deflation is taking a stronger hand and it will, in my opinion, push gold shares down temporarily, but only for a while before they rebound. If the inflationary side takes hold, money will flow into the stock market.

In the first scenario ratio of the DOW to the price of gold will be 1:1, that is the DOW drops to 3,000 and the price of gold is 3,000. Here you could see a strong dollar and strong gold price co-existing, I think. In the second, I see the DOW going to 30,000 and gold to at least $5,000. If it were 1:1 it would be $30,000 an ounce.

The bottom line is: Stay in Gold and Silver. If it is the first, then you may want to pull back a bit.....but ride it out as the DOW drops. My guess is that it will be the latter, but I could be wrong. Deflationary pressures are extremely strong. Now the Central banks and governmental leaders, who see the handriting on the wall, do not want a deflationary collapse because they will be blamed for putting people out of work. They will choose the latter, something which has never been done in history. This is new territory in my opinion.

But I am only a retired Bible translator, not an economist, trying to figure out what is going on. The one thing I do know is that gold is real money and the world is opposed that reality. They want to redefine what real money is, and have fooled most people, including God's people. Tell that to most Christians and they will think you are crazy! But give us 10-15 more years and they will very eagar to exchange their dollars for real money.

Well, let me put it this way. We were due to have an approximate 60 year cycle top, turning to K-Winter, sometime around the end of the century. Such a turn should have been massivly deflationary like the late 20's turn.

Now, in retrospect it is easy to see what all has been done. People who would normally have gone under feeding deflation was allowed mulligans with multiple credit cards. Credit cards simply imply debt extensions as those people used the cards to pay off other debt, along with consumer purchases. Then there was the housing/ refi bubble, fueled by illogical terms for mortages. Again, not only would many not have been able to help to fuel the real estate bubble, but many would have lost their homes if the real estate bubble was not fueled and heightened by the illogical terms bringing buyers in that should have never been eligible. Thus, it added another lot of individuals who would have likely added ot the deflationary cancer list by defaults. Now, suddenly there are checks appearing in the mail that say, "Sign me for an automatic loan." Where are those "tightening terms" in such a check? There is none. IMO, it is an extension of 20 credit cards for everybody......all part of the Bernanke Helicopter drop. Now, many will be able to avoid the real estate fall-out with another set of mulligans by "check-loan." In fact, I receive one almost everyday, along with at least 3 offers for credit cards......and at least 2 phone calls for credit cards. The helicopter is still flying...........

In my editorial I outlined how I thought that we are seeing a series of "Rolling Bubbles", all planned, not to defeat the massive backdrop of deflation, but to ward it off til as Gann would say, "Time is up." We started in the 90's by Greeny cutting rates with the market rising in an apparent attempt to bull the stock market bubble as high as could be done. Then we had interest rates dropped to the bone, all the while having credit card mania passed around like speed. Next, we had the changes in loan terms move from credit cards to the real estate arm of banking to bull the Real Estate Bubble, aggressively forcing up the prices of homes so consumers could refi and take money out of their homes like bank accounts.

Now, we are seeing "check loans" appear, likely from the same entities, but they have appeared in the time of need from the "real estate crisis." The question is, "What is planned as the next Bubble in our Rolling Bubble Game?" It certainly seems to me like we saw something similar in the 80's when we had the rolling recession moving through parts of the country. Was that a practice run for the fight against K-Winter. (I hope nobody gets me wrong and elects to argue how the 80's were "different" because that is not the point, here.)

I suspect that the final bubble in the Fed fight will be the PM bubble into 2012. They probably figure, "If ya can't beat 'em, join 'em", which approximates common sense in using all available natural bubbles as we go. I am not so sure that the sudden appearance of Mr. Bolling on CNBC is not a "patchwork" attempt to move investors into "real assets" going into 2008 to help people to stay afloat during the regular cycle where liquidity will be flowing toward "real assets" like Gold, Silver, Oil, and Natural Gas. This is the part of the cycle where they cannot very effectively force liquidity into general stocks and bonds, anyhow.

So, now we have Mr. Armstrong's cycle work come into play. Mr. Armstrong has been on ice for a very longtime so we get no feedback from him. I don't think he probably foresaw all of the dollar printing and the rolling bubbles as a probability in an expected pure deflationary cycle period. Just look at his economic cycle chart. This February cycle top was supposed to be an "Inflationary top." Was it? Funny that we really saw the opposite play out into it. What we saw was a "deflationary scare." (Yes, SOEE, I agree that general stocks and bonds would see weakness in an inflationary period of stagflation like the 70's. But, look at the whole picture.) So, at the "inflationary top" of the cycle we get a very short panic as announced on GE about 50 times a day by Goldto2012 and SeattleSun. It was "tagged" as the Yen carry-trade scare, but as JS has suggested, anybody using the YCT to invest in Gold would be dummer than owl poop.

So, as I had led into weeks before all of this showed up, in fact cited my expected Dow weakness in Part III released a couple of days before the market break, we suddenly have a very interesting enigma. Nobody has noticed that at each of the turn dates for "peak inflation", we instead had a bottom for the PM stocks. In fact we had Greeny on point for deflation to start the scare as Benny plays "Good cop" citing "inflationary concerns." Along with badly tainted CPI readings we see "confusion" fed to the markets at every turning point. Why? And, why do we so perfectly have an "inflationary turn" just shortly after each of Armstrong's "inflation tops?" Could Armstrong have been so far-sighted to have nailed all of the tops, yet so near-sighted to have them exactly in the wrong direction? I don't think so.

I think it all goes back to what we saw with Greeny citing "irrational exhuberance." Do you remember that day? (Let's not forget that AG did exensive writing decades, ago, on how he wanted to be the Fed Chair to take on the K-Winter.....how he discussed in detail how he would fight it. Yet, either the many don't remember, or they ignored it as ludicrous. Yeah, Greeny is as dumb as a fox, me things, seconded by JS.) So, do you remember what Greeny did around the time of the "irrational exhuberance" speech? The comments knocked the market for a loop short-term, but shortly thereafter the market rallied back near the highs....AND AG CUT RATES. I sat, there, appalled. With that rate cut he sinularly sent the market on a vertical flight, higher. That was all a head-fake as seen on a basketball court a hundred times a day, but nobody expects it out of a Fed Chair. I suspect that AG was already building the largest stock market bubble in the history of the world as the first of many rolling bubbles to stave off K-Winter.

So, let's jump forward to today. Today we see that at each "inflation high" in Armstrong's economic model chart, we instead get a bottom in the PM sector. Is it possible that an undercurrent of the dollar inflation theme, the patchwork credit mulligans, and the rolling bubbles......that the Fed has engineered a complete reversal of Armstrong's economic model? Is that why the man has never been allowed a trial? (Please understand that I am one to view all of these moves with an open mind, only because we were screwed one way or the other. No one man, nor one adminstration, nor one party had created the mess we were in. And, yes, all of the unions and groups about are also responsible for pushing for unrealistic entitlements that their members could never enjoy.~ there is plenty of blame to go, around.) My interest is one of understanding this very complex situation that has arisen as I find it fascinating, especially as it plays out in real-time.

IF you consider all of the above, then we have the answer for the HUI Fractals that I have cited. The basic waves run with, but contrary to, the Armstrong Inflation Cycle. We have liquidity to the markets due to massive dollar inflation, due to the rolling bubbles, due to very low real rates, due to the patchwork credit mulligans, and due to "external liquidity" like the YCT. We have control over the PMs by "talking" by Fed employees including an occasional blurb by AG, along with a very tainted CPI, along with the occasional index change if necessary in a pinch. We also have the COT to help control the PMs, but JS says that is really all show. The truth is that PM investors get scared and shoot themselves in the foot when TPTB says, "Boo!" They have no clothes, no weapons, nothing.........It is all a game of "Liars Poker" that is causing these steep retracements in the PM markets as shown in all of history. Think about it. They are selling paper gold, for Christ sakes. (Sorry, God.) Yet, PM investors get scared and run away, selling their paper gold, their PM stocks, and in some cases even their Real Money Physical Gold. Boo! Somebody catch that guy before he has a heart attack. Everybody hacks on the technicals and the charts while pleading to talk more about the fundamentals, and I ask myself, "Why?" "Apparently, nobody in the PM sector believes them, anyhow." "Thank God for charts and TA, because when a picture is shown at least many will pause, stick their head out from under the covers, and stop quivering for a few seconds." HEAR THIS. THE FED IS PRINTING DOLLARS AND DROPPING THEM LIKE FROM A HELICOPTER. THEY ARE SIMULTANEOUSLY SELLING YOU DEFLATION WHEN IT IS CONVENIENT. THE CONSTANTLY ACCELERATION OF DOLLAR PRINTING GUARANTEES THAT GOLD NOT ONLY CANNOT GO DOWN, BUT IT MUST RISE.......LIKE IN AN APOLLO MISSION. THE FED IS LAUGHING AT YOU. THEY TOLD YOU WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO, AND THEY ARE DOING IT. (Sorry for the caps, Dr. V., but I had no bold-type thingy to use.

Ok, SOEE, back to the general markets in the current time period. Yes, I showed in my editorial in the days just before the market break that the stock market was expected to roll over and to continue down into the first half of 08 as the PM market goes on quite the run. If we were in a true deflationary period, the PM stocks would be hurt with the general stocks as liquidity was sucked out of even them. BUT, the Fed has done all of the above to massively increase liquidity to the point that we are really in a Stagflationary environment by design ~ a condition which is less unfriendly to all stocks and to life as we know it. Though.....I do not believe we are in 1973 as I have shown in a LT chart of Gold in Part II. Still, 1973 might be considered a similar time period as far as the general market's response to stagflation is concerned. I'd have to look further to see if I think it is similar enough to warrant being called a "fractal."

So, the next question is, "Are we in a Stagflationary Depression?" My answer is "Yes, of course", and to that end I wrote a very long post on a private board last year expecting to release it as an editorial. But last year was a mess with events in my life, and I was not even able to track the fractal work sufficiently. Many will laugh at the concept of a Stagflationary Depression because the only type of Depression they have ever heard of was the 1929 style Deflationary Depression.

I could continue on with my feelings or thoughts about a Stagflationary Depression, sometime, but one would have to understand that my thoughts are not learned in the classic way.

Bottom line, I think the Fractals with all of their reference points will continue to play out very closely, all guaranteed by the above.
